Newbook

Initial Setup of Newbook is taken care of by 4WiFi Staff after authorisation against the 4WiFi Partner API Account to your Newbook instance.

User configurable specific settings for the Newbook PMS Authentication module relies on the following sets of options.

Open

• Date Set Used provides alternative combinations of authentication credentials. Room & Surname is by far the most commonly used.

• VIP Field Column allows you to select a dataset field to match on (via the VIP Field Values) in order to flag a reservation as “Bonus” in terms of Speeds and Data Limits.

• VIP Field Values is a comma delimited list of values to match on, although usually most items only allow a single value when matching. Contact 4WiFi support if you want to use this for more detailed explanation.

• Allow Charge To Room enabled guests who have authenticated but exceeded usage limits to purchase Vouchers via the same mechanism as UserPays but to be billed to the BookingID.

• GL Account for Charge is REQUIRED otherwise the end user will receive an error as there will be no account to post the charge to.

• GL Category for Charge is similar to the above. Knowledge of your Newbook instance is required to know what to select here.

• Override Arrival Time with Checkin Time allows early checkins to happen triggered when the reservation is Checked-In within Newbook. Cases where this may not be desired is when rooms are checked in prior to actual arrival and you do not want the guest to have internet access early.

• Early Arrivals allows the internet access to be enabled earlier than the Checkin Time on the booking and allows access without the guest being required to be checked in at all.
