MFA Security
To provide an increased level of security to users on the 4WiFi and 4Control platforms, Time-based One-Time-Passwords (TOTP) are available to all users (and as of 31st October 2023 are enforced for all but read-only users).
To manage your MFA and Tokens, navigate to the MFA Security page within the Settings menu:
The page you will be presented with will provide you an initial indication if MFA is enabled or not and will allow you to set a new MFA Secret. You will be required to provide two concurrent TOTP passwords generated from the provided QR Code (or secret key). Make sure you have stored the details before continuing as you will not be able to change the token without access or the original.
You will only be prompted for a “Current” token if you have MFA already configured, this means you need to provide the current token also in order to change to a new secret MFA. This is to prevent your MFA being changed if you left your terminal logged in where someone else could access it.
