Locks & Gateways

Locks and Gateways which are added to your TTLock account are automatically added to the 4WiFi platform. Names you give your devices are reflected here for easy identification.

The Edit link on each Lock allows you to assign the lock to one or more Rooms (linked against your PMS). A single lock could be linked to multiple rooms, most commonly used when you want the identical PINs to be added to common entry doors etc.

Clicking on the Name of a lock presents you with further information about a given lock. This information is not often updated, so you may use the Recheck Now link to retrieve more up to date information about a given lock. This includes nearby gateways that can see your lock and the signal strength of this at your lock. Most Bluetooth adaptors are on the outside of the lock with the keypad, so a gateway inside a room may not provide the best signal level.

If the lock is WiFi enabled, a graph showing its online status over the last 24 hours is visible here. If you are using Gateway devices, online status applies only to the Gateways themselves (see below).

Battery level of each lock (as reported by the last log report received) is displayed here too. By clicking on the percentage for a given lock you are presented with a battery depletion graph for the last 60 days to help you predict how long your batteries are lasting in each lock.

Some variation often exists in battery level reporting, combined averages over time are most useful to determine battery life expectancy.

Gateways are displayed towards the bottom. There is no configurable options or additional details for Gateways, they are largely passive devices. If they are online then they are working, that is the general rule.
