PPPoE (ISP)
Used in conjunction with PMS Authentication module, the PPPoE module allows for long-running services to be provided (usually on a fixed line) which operates to the end user in the same way as another ISP would.
Billing for this is linked off specific options within the PMS module you are using so this service can be automatically disabled if a guest fails to pay their recurring subscription without having to disable to PPPoE account entirely via the 4WiFi platform.
Each user/password combination is assigned to a PMS user so their access is linked easily. These pairs can be viewed from the Hotspot → PPPoE Users Configuration menu. Each time you re-assign a Router Username to a new Related User, the password will change automatically so as to eliminate previous users who may have the passwords recorded.
Multiple instances of a single PPPoE tunnel are now blocked so that this authentication and access restriction linking to a single guest can not be circumvented.
