There are a number of different PMS Integrations, but however they all revolve around a common set of parameters and rules explained here:

  • Disable Captive Portal login allows you to retain the configuration settings for your PMS Integration but temporarily remove the login option from the guest facing Captive Portal

  • Refresh Rooms from PMS connects to your PMS platform to download the current list of configured rooms. Once this process has been completed, you should check the PMS Area Config to make sure any rooms that have been recently discovered get updated to allow your guests to connect from those rooms.

  • Treat Areas as Numeric Only attempts to simplify guest access such that only numeric values will be considered as part of the “Room” selector criteria. While this works great for some properties, you should weigh up the benefits for your own property before using this option.

  • Data Allowance Method allows selecting between 2 different modes

    • Daily Multiplier will multiply the Daily Limit by the number of days each guest is checked in for, allocating them the sum total of this calculation when they first log in.

    • Single Limit will allocate the specific number specified for the room only with no consideration for the length of the stay. This is not a common selection to use and is usually used for legacy customers or those with incredibly bad internet connections at their properties.

  • Allocation Type allows selection between 2 different modes

    • Per Reservation shares the data limit between all devices authenticating to the reservation, this is usually considered to be the most fair and is by far the most common selection used.

    • Per Device allocates a separate voucher and thus entirely independent data limit for every device authenticating against every room. This is often not used as one room with 1 devices can feel they miss out against another identical room where the occupant has multiple devices.

  • Field 1 Label is the first field used for the PMS Authentication method, it is most commonly one of the following values:

    • Room

    • Booking ID

    • Mobile Number

  • Field 2 Label is the first field used for the PMS Authentication method, it is most commonly simply used for Surname.

  • Checkout Grace Time allows you to artificially extend the WiFi access beyond the expected checkout time of a guest by a fixed number of hours.

  • Completed Logon Text will show when a guest has successfully logged onto the internet via the PMS Authentication

  • Upload Speed and Download Speed are Simple Limit values for bandwidth limitation, same as on Plans

  • Custom Queue is a “burstable” limit for bandwidth limitation (see Bandwidth Limits)

  • VIP Completed Logon Text will show when a guest has successfully logged onto the internet via the PMS Authentication PLUS has been identified as a VIP guest. See specific details about VIP selection in the specific PMS Integration you are using.

  • VIP Data Multiplier allows for an increased data limit to be provided when a guest has been identified as VIP. If this number is 0, it will apply an unlimited value to the data. Otherwise it will simply multiply whatever the guest would have had by this factor.

  • VIP Devices Multiplier will multiply the number of devices the reservation is limited to by this value. This value must be 1 or greater, 0 is not a valid value as there is no ability to set unlimited devices.

  • VIP Upload Speed and VIP Download Speed are Simple Limit values for bandwidth limitation, same as on Plans

  • VIP Custom Queue is a “burst” limit for bandwidth limitation (see Bandwidth Limits)
